The Velasca tower, completed in 1957, wanted to overcome the rationalism of the previous years, leading the legacy of the European masters towards a new attitude towards the environment and history.
This bold desire for innovation involved the whole country in those years, producing objects like the "Bisiluro", a 1955 vehicle, designed by Mollino in collaboration with Damonte, Nardi and Giannini.
The Bisiluro was born from the imagination of designers, who have integrated new proportion, perspective and form into their conceptual model of automobile.
We are therefore faced with an analogy between the machine and the Milan's building. The spirit of renewal and experimentation links these Italian works; Skyscraper serves as a launching pad for the car towards an optimistic future, typical of the years of the so-called economic miracle.
